So, a dear, dear friend of mine recently experienced a sports related injury. I’m ashamed to say that I may have been less than supportive, as a friend should be. He is a lover of poetry, so I offer up this haiku to cheer him during the recovery period. Here’s hoping that he’ll be back to normal soon.
THE RUNNER
Athletic and strong,
focused and pure, except for
your bloody nipples.
